🌱 Intent

At Skools Inn Nursery, our Curriculum is designed to equip children with the knowledge, confidence, and cultural capital they need to thrive. Rooted in a love for both indoor and outdoor learning together with a cohort of experienced highly skills staff who's commitment to excellence is delivered daily. Our intent is to nurture curious and have capable learners who are ready to embrace their next educational journey whether this is to move to the next room or move on to Primary school. 

🚀 Implementation

Children at Skools Inn learn through exploration, play, and purposeful interactions guided by the EYFS framework. Our carefully curated environment sparks imagination, encourages questions, and supports every child’s unique path to discovery.

We enrich our curriculum with:

• 🏊‍♂️ Swimming lessons

• 🌳 Forest School sessions led by a qualified teacher at a local primary school

• 🚌 Minibus trips to nature reserves, parks, libraries, and places of interest

• 📚 Visits to the beach and we invite community guests like the police and fire fighters

• 👩‍🏫 Onsite SEN teacher who monitors progress and ensures early intervention

We teach responsively, using Birth to 5  to guide spontaneous planning and in-the-moment learning. Our strong partnership with parents—through our Babys Days digital platform, focus meetings, and daily conversations—extends learning beyond the nursery walls.
