Fees, Funding & Childcare Vouchers at Skools Inn Nursery

At Skools Inn Nursery, we aim to make high-quality childcare accessible and flexible for all families. Here’s what you need to know about our fees and funding options:

• Government-Funded Places:
  We offer free government-funded childcare places for eligible children aged 9 months to 4 years. This includes both 15-hour and 30-hour funding options, depending on your eligibility.
• Flexible Attendance Options:
  Funded hours can be used on a term-time only basis or stretched across the full year to suit your family’s needs. The number of hours your child can attend will depend on the type of funding you receive. Please speak to the Nursery Manager to discuss how we can tailor your child’s funded place.
• Childcare Vouchers Accepted:
  We accept all major childcare vouchers, including Tax-Free Childcare and employer voucher schemes.

Consumables Fee for Funded Children

At Skools Inn Nursery, we are committed to providing a rich and engaging learning environment for all children. To help us maintain the high quality of resources and experiences we offer, we apply a consumables fee for all children accessing funded hours.

This fee covers the cost of essential items used daily in the nursery, including:

• Art and craft materials (e.g. paint, glue, glitter, stickers, chalk, playdough)
• Stationery (e.g. pens, pencils, paper)
• Toys and learning equipment
• Messy play components (e.g. shaving foam, cornflour)
• Painting aprons and other consumable supplies
  
• Snacks and meals provided during the day are also charged to parents this is invoiced as Snacks and meals on your invoice on BabysDays 

We understand that families may wish to manage this differently. As an alternative to paying the consumables fee, parents are welcome to:

• Provide a packed lunch for their child, in line with our Healthy Eating and Packed Lunch Policy, which is available to view on our BabysDays platform.
• Supply the full list of required resources for the term. This ensures your child has everything they need to fully participate in nursery activities. If you choose this option, please speak with a member of staff to receive the current term’s resource list.

For those who prefer the convenience of the consumables charge, full details—including the amount and payment schedule—can be found on your invoices via the Baby’s Days app.
